Tools for Smart Kitchen Designs

Are you feeling as sharp as a tack today, brainstorming solutions left and right, with everything in crystal clear focus? At WOLF’s customer service team, we love days with these feelings. We cherish these days because we know, eventually, a “not so smart” day will arise and challenge us. To help you get through these “not so smart days,” I’ve developed a few cheat sheets that can help you in a bind.

Fun with Fractions

I use a cheater construction calculator. There, I said it. I’m not too proud to admit it. It’s big, it’s wrapped in a yellow protector case and, with the touch of a button, it turns a decimal into a fraction. This particular calculator has saved many a day on job sites marking off kitchens or determining the exact width for an inside angle filler. When I’m without my calculator, I’ve found a sheet containing the decimal conversions of fractions is one of the basics to keep within easy reach. Please click on the link below so you can view and adjust the size and layout according to your needs.

Some of the most common places to keep a copy of this information:

  • your desk
  • your showroom
  • attached to the back of your calculator
  • printed on the back of your business card (clients need cheat sheets as well and you can be the one to provide it so they’ll be reminded of you each time they use it)

Cabinet Calculations

As designers and business owners, you need to take in a lot of information about your product lines. At times, it can feel overwhelming to keep it all straight. One of the most common questions our customer service team receives is about the interior width and depth of wall and base cabinets. When carrying different lines of cabinetry, it can become cumbersome memorizing all of this information. To assist you, we are offering a form to help you through the calculations and to keep as an easy reference sheet for all of your cabinet lines.

Supplying your design team with these types of sheets for their personal use, as well as a copy for the showroom, will assist in quickly referencing differences between the cabinet lines. Keeping a master electronic version will help with making quick changes if the cabinet lines change any of their specifications.

More to Come

We’ll continue to add these additional cheat sheets throughout future blog posts. But, if you currently carry WOLF’s various lines of cabinets, please visit WOLF’s e-toolbox to find these sheets completed for you. If you are a current customer and have not visited the e-toolbox, please contact WOLF’s customer service team to learn how to gain access to this valuable sales tool.
